Aide: Supporting You to Manage Your Health Between Appointments

Your GP practice, as part of the Warrington Innovation Network (WIN), is introducing Aide, a free app to help you manage long-term conditions like high blood pressure and COPD. If you live with more than one condition, Aide can support you across them together.

Aide uses short, daily conversations on your phone to help you stay on track with your medications, record health measurements like blood pressure, and learn more about your conditions. It takes around six minutes to set up and is completely voluntary. Choosing not to take part will not affect your NHS care in any way.

How Aide helps you

You'll receive friendly daily check-ins tailored to your conditions, medication reminders and tips on how to take them properly, the ability to track your health over time, and short, easy-to-read articles about your health written by clinicians.

Aide is a registered Class I medical device and is used by patients across the NHS. Your data is secure and handled in line with NHS standards.

How Aide supports your practice

Aide gives clinicians visibility of how patients are managing between appointments, helping them spot issues earlier and make the most of face-to-face time. It reduces pressure on routine appointments by supporting patients with day-to-day condition management.

If you receive a text inviting you to try Aide

The message has been sent by your GP practice. You can sign up by following the link in the text. If you have any questions about using the app, the Aide team handle all support directly, so there is no need to contact your practice.
